Know the origins of RockEDU's original podcast: Beyond the Lab!

Beyond the Lab is a podcast that was developed and recorded by Hana, Leora, and Jacob, three students from the 2024 Summer Science Research Program who undertook is as their project for a Science Communication elective. In this course, which ran concurrent with SSRP, students were taught skills and approaches to effective science communication and encouraged to apply them to a creative project of their choosing.

Hana, Leora, and Jacob’s goal in making this podcast was to share an impactful part of their SSRP experience with students just like them: the discovery that scientists are real, relatable people, with interests, relationships, and lives outside of science, and that the paths that lead people to science are just as unique and human as the people behind it.
