Building Interactive Opportunities for Mentorship Education

BIOME, a virtual mentorship learning community

BIOME (Building Interactive Opportunities for Mentorship Education) is a virtual Slack community that is hosted by RockEDU for the scientific community at Tri-I. The goal of this community is to facilitate connection and collaboration among members of this community around the theme of mentorship development. Through this community, and its foundation of D.E.A.I principles (Diversity, Equity, Access and Inclusion), we aim to normalize the professionalization of these skills and enable open conversations and meaningful connections around mentorship education. Here, at RockEDU online, we share the outputs and actionable items discussed and created in BIOME in the hopes of minimizing barriers to accessing mentorship content and allowing for folks to utilize the resources in a way that makes sense (either independently or as part of a group!)
