Yue Yu
Yue is an SSRP fellow who is working on creating and co-leading a research track for the SSRP! Here, she talks about how she approaches science and her excitement for the SSRP!
Yue is a current Postdoctoral Associate in the Friedman Lab, where she studies molecular genetics. She is also working as an SSRP Fellow, where she will be creating and co-leading a research track for the SSRP. Below, she talks about her excitement regarding the SSRP!
Where were you before Rockefeller?
“I received my PhD and am currently a Postdoctoral Associate in the Friedman Lab .”
What is something you did recently that you are proud of?
“Completed the third ascent of the Breakneck Ridge and found it to be effortless.”
Share one thing about science that brings you joy.
“It is a righteous way to explore the truth of nature!”
Outside of your research and science, what do you do for fun?
“Rehearsing songs and composing poems!”
What are you most looking forward to when mentoring students with RockEDU?
“Exploring science with the younger generation.”
What advice would you give to incoming students?
“Stay hungry, stay foolish, and stay patient.”
