Donghoon (Jerry) Lee
Jerry is a SSRP Fellow, who is in charge of creating and co-leading a research track for the SSRP. Here, he talks about his excitement around mentoring students within the SSRP!
Jerry is a postdoctoral associate in the Friedman Lab, where he studies molecular genetics. This year, Jerry is serving as one of many SSRP Fellows, where he will be creating and co-leading a research track for the SSRP. Below, he talks a little bit about what he looks forward to in being a Fellow for the SSRP!
Where were you before Rockefeller?
“My educational background is in Neuroscience and Genetic Engineering. I am currently a Postdoctoral Associate in The Friedman Lab.”
What is something you did recently that you are proud of?
“Finishing a small grant proposal”
Share one thing about science that brings you joy.
“I love brainstorming.”
Outside of your research and science, what do you do for fun?
“Playing tennis, playing boardgames/card games/video games, watching youtube, reading books, walking outside, travelling.”
What are you most looking forward to when mentoring students with RockEDU?
“Getting close to the RockEDU team and seeing student’s excitement!”
What advice would you give to incoming students?
“Be open-minded”
