Emily Dennis

Dr. Emily Jane Dennis is a Detroiter who loves hockey and playing Euchre. She started her scientific journey working in labs in college and never stopped! Her favorite lab activities include anything that involves watching animals behave and move around. In her PhD, she studied the neurons and proteins that animals, like mosquitoes and worms, use to sense the repellent DEET. In her postdoc, she is now investigating how we remember and compare sensory experiences over time, and how different animals solve similar problems.
